Closing My Blog!

I'm really sorry everyone, but this is my last blog post! I didn't open this blog to get a lot of followers, so the fact that I have 1 follower doesn't bother me much. However, it is really time consuming to think of ideas, write about them, and so on and so forth. Since only 1 person is following, I don't see a point in taking a ton of my time to write, and then only 1 person reads it. I absolutely love blogging, but I'm just too busy with school to do both. I want to be able to dedicate enough time to my blog, and give it the proper time it deserves, and I feel like I can't do that with all my other priorities.

School is a major priority for me, so I really need to focus on that for now. I may bring back this blog over the summer since I'll have more time, but no guarantees. I'll still be reading a few blogs out there if time allows it. And of course, I'll keep calm and stay preppy.

Thanks to those who visited my blog, or took time out of their day to read it! It means a lot :)
If you want to keep in touch, you can still email me at preppygolucky.regina@gmail.com

Goodbye for now, xoxoxo!

Whale you be my Valentine?

So, it's that day again! Grocery stores are sold out of chocolate, and it smells amazing when you walk through the florist section. Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. I remember in 2nd grade when everyone was required to give out cards and candy for everyone. I would spend the whole day trading candy with my friends, hoping to grab a giant Pixy Stick. One of my pet peeves is when people mope around on this day just because they're single. Even if you're single, you can still enjoy the holiday! As cliché as it sounds, you shouldn't have to depend on someone else for your own happiness! True happiness is when you feel satisfied with what you've accomplished, and motivated to strive harder for the future. If you keep those aspects in mind, having a significant other shouldn't matter. Take this day as a mini Thanksgiving Day (with lots of pink); Be thankful for your friends and family, and show them the love!

For my festive outfit, I paired a Ralph Lauren Striped Cotton Blouse with Jack Wills Skinny Jeans and Michael Kors Fulton Harness Boots. To top it off, I have on J. Crew Pearl Studs, a Marc Jacobs Neon Pink Leather Bracelet and Michael Kors Rose Gold Bangle (SIMILAR). I tried pairing a classic shirt with a bright neon bracelet, and I love the way it looks! I also have a slight obsession with rose gold, and all of Michael Kors' bracelets are just gorgeous. In the middle photo you can see my heart socks; funny story about that. I got them about 6-7 years ago and forget every Valentine's Day. This day is the first time I've been able to wear them!

In the bottom photo of the bracelets, I have one the same Marc Jacobs bracelet as above, as well as a Juicy Couture Jelly Watch, and a J. Crew Pearl Stretch Bracelet (SIMILAR).

I was originally going to post a fashion set I put together, but I really wanted to make this post more personal!

What do you normally do for Valentine's Day? Any Valentine's Day memories you have from the past?

What the Preppy Life Has Taught Me

For some reason, being preppy makes me lead such a better life. I'm a true believer that when you look better you feel better, which helps you be a better person overall. I know that doesn't make sense to most people, but if you're preppy or you like fashion, you probably have some idea what I'm saying! Many of the items on this list depend on each other; for example, positive thinking depends on organization, and goal setting. Above all, everything on this list, for me, is dependent on living a preppy lifestyle.

This list is the top 10 reasons how being preppy has improved my life so much. I hope you enjoy and can relate! Comment down below how being preppy or fashionable has changed your life! I'd love to know!

1) Organization
Whether it's organizing my room, schedule, or organizing my schoolwork to complete, I seriously could never go without organizing something. I just feel so much better when everything is neat and in its place. To-do lists are my specialty, and I don't know how I could get things done without them!

2) Time Management
Okay, so there are some nights when I have so much work that I can't sleep. For the most part, I definitely try and space out my time well. This opens up so much more time to relax, read, blog, and shop!

3) No Potty Mouth!
Okay, so in the past I was known to have, um, not the nicest language... to say the least! When I started paying attention to that bad habit I was definitely able to snap out of that one! The only time now when a non-so-nice word comes out of my mouth is when I stub my toe (Ow). I'd rather use pretty language- I'm educated and I don't plan on ruining that just because of my mouth running off!
B- is for bows
F- is for fashion
S- is for seersucker
Don't let your mouth get the best of you! When you talk with a wider vocabulary, you make a better impression overall.

4) Dressing to Impress
So, maybe this is the most obvious one out of the whole list. In the business/college/working world, appearance can mean a lot. First impressions are crucial, and I love dressing nicely to give off that good impression.

5) Try Hard in Everything
Whenever I feel better and look better, I definitely have a competitive edge. This really drives me into working hard and trying hard in everything I do.

6) Being Nice to Everyone
As they say, preppy isn't a way of dressing, it's a way of living. This includes being nice and accepting of all people. I was never mean to people, but now I try and put myself in other people's shoes more. This really gives me perspective on other people's lives, and helps me to be more empathetic.

7) Goal Setting
I'm a complete sucker for goals. I feel so much better when I accomplish a goal, and once I do, I set a new and higher one. I think that goals are a main source of motivation for me, and they drive me to try harder.

8) Positive Thinking
In the past, I never made lemonade out of lemons. I haven't had the best luck in the past, but now I have a whole new perspective. I always try and look at things on the bright side now, instead of complaining and being negative. For example, I've been in the hospital in and out for the past few months due to medical issues, but I'm thankful as it's given me more time to reflect on what I'm grateful for. I believe that positive thinking is essential to true happiness.

9) Enjoying the Finer Things in Life
I'm so insanely grateful to have grown up in a nice household with family, and friends who care about me. Since I look at things on the bright side, I can definitely enjoy and appreciate the finger things in life; whether it's a bow ring, vacation in Cape Cod, or simply enjoying time with my loved ones.

10) Maturity
I may only be 17 years old, but for the most part I act like I'm 20+. I already found my dream job, dream life, and dream location to live. Sometimes I can act silly, but for the most part I handle things responsibly, strive high, dream bigger, and try to exceed my expectations. I occasionally feel like I'm missing out on my teen years, but in the long run it's for the better, and will lead me to personal success.

How has living the "preppy lifestyle" changed your life?

Friday Trend: USA Spirit is So-chi(c)!

Words cannot describe how much I love our country, our beloved U.S.A. No where else can we have the freedom to say what's on our mind, pray to whichever God we choose, and live the American Dream. I only wish to grow up to continue living the American Dream like so many people I know. From the palm trees of Miami, to the city lights of New York City, to the deserts of California, the U.S.A. is so diverse in so many ways. While I was watching the opening ceremony moments ago, I couldn't help thinking how lucky I am to live in such a fabulous country. Want to know another fabulous thing about the U.S.A.? Our opening ceremony outfits. Yes, that's right. United States athletes showed off their Ralph Lauren Olympic cardigans. I was practically squealing with glee while watching the U.S. strut their spirit, pride, and fashion as they were announced. From the flag patch, to "2014" to the olympic rings, to the stars and stripes, it's perfect in every way. Most importantly, it's a symbol for how much pride we take in living in the greatest country in the world, and I'm darn proud to say it.

To all my readers: what do you love about the U.S.A.?

So-chi(c),

Question for My Readers!

I'm definitely having a shopping crisis, and I need your guys' help! As you may or may not know, I've been extremely sick in the past few months and have been in an out of the hospital for my stomach. I haven't been able to go out shopping so I've been looking to order clothes online. However, there's one tiny problem (literally). Whenever I order clothing, everything runs way too big! I'm only 5'2" with a small frame, so finding clothing that fits is a really big struggle! J.Crew is my absolute favorite store without a doubt, but their women's clothing is baggy on me; even their petite clothing runs large. I've been looking at Crew Cuts, Vineyard Vines Kids, Lilly Pulitzer Kids, etc, but there's something so irritating about ordering children's clothing! I'm 17 years old, not 10! To all my readers out there: What are some cute stores that carry petite clothing and run small?

Thanks in advance xoxo,
Regina Anne

Let it Snow

I think the weather predictions were a little (a lot) wrong. "One inch" became two, three, and now four or five inches! This definitely calls for a snow-appropriate outfit. When in doubt, wear a peacoat; you just can't go wrong. I'm a huge fan of dark wash jeans, but I'd rather not look like I'm wearing a onesie with a dark coat. The peacoat contrasts perfectly with a light wash jean, and bean boots. To top it off, add a cute scarf, and matching gloves. I just had to add glasses to this outfit, I think it looks super cute! When you're battling it out with the snow, do it in style.

Dress to Impress

Okay, so I have a little confession. I have been searching day and night for a perfect dress. No but literally, I was getting a little too into my shopping endeavors online. I'm happy to say that I've found the perfect dress! This nautical dress is just the cutest, and is super flattering.  Between the stripes and color-blocking, I immediately fell in love. It's petite, which is perfect for me since I'm a mere 5'2". With a blazer and wedges it can be dressed up, and with a pair of converse I can wear it to school. It's a great basic, and I'm looking forward to wearing it and styling it all different ways!

Stay nauti-cal,
Regina Anne
